جوجل تستعين بالجمال لإنشاء خرائط للصحراء
استعانت جوجل عملاقة محركات البحث بالجمال من أجل تعزيز قاعدة بياناتها المتعلقة ببرنامج الخرائط Google Maps و بخاصية Google Street View بصور بانورامية جديدة خاصة بالصحراء فى منطقة ليوا فى دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

جوجل أرادت عبر تطبيقها الخرائطى Google Maps وبالضبط عبر خاصية Google Street View تعريف المستخدمين بصحراء ليوا فى الإمارات العربية المتحدة و تقديمها إليهم بطريقة يشعرون وكأنهم فيها وبالتالى فإن الطريق الأفضل لذلك هو الجمل المتواجد فى المنطقة والقادر على الوصول إلى مناطق صعبة من المستحيل أن تصل إليها الآليات المعتادة.

و من أجل هذا الغرض تم إعداد جمل يبلغ من العمر 10 سنوات يقوده مدرب خبير وتم تجهيز هذا الجمل بكاميرات بالغة الدقة وقادرة على التصوير من جميع الزوايا وبالتالى منح فريق العمل مناظر بانورامية والوصول إلى مناطق ساحرة حيث الطبيعة الخلابة وهو الأمر الذى من المستحيل القيام به عبر سيارة مجهزة مثلا كما فى شوارع المدن الكبرى.
